However, it might all be just a smoke screen as Google released a video yesterday taunting the YouTubers who criticized Google for the Pixel 3 leaks. Google is prepared to launch its third-generation Pixel phones aka the Pixel 3 and the Pixel 3 XL on October 9, i.e tomorrow at its Made by Google event in NY.
The new Pixel phones have similar form factors to the Pixel 2 phones, but the most significant change is the addition of a notch to the larger Pixel 3 XL, which will have a 6.5-inch display. The squeeze feature will also let users create a shortcut to the Google Lens camera.
The Pixel Slate will be presented together with the Pixel 3 smartphones on the evening of October 9th.
Google is holding its gadget event on Tuesday, part of its continuing push to embed its digital services and Android software more deeply into peoples' lives. That's about double what the Pixel 3 XL will cost if a recent leak is correct.
Chaser projects Alan Jones’ ad and phone number onto Sydney Opera House
Scott Morrison weighed in on the controversy on Sunday saying beaming the draw onto the Opera House was a 'no-brainer'.
Most notably the Google Pixel 3 XL was listed as the same 1269.99 Canadian dollar (£749.83/$977.00) price for both the 64GB and 128GB variants. The tablet also appears to feature front-facing stereo speakers. Google will be jumping back in with the Pixel Slate, featuring a 3:2, stylus support and Chrome OS.
Though Google has succeeded in selling lower-priced devices such as smart speakers and home routers, the phones have been a tougher sell.
As usual, we are expecting around five or so Google products at this event. We'll have plenty of it, and will be covering all the big announcements of the day - even the devices that won't be coming to the UK. Interestingly, the keyboard has a dedicated key to launch Google Assistant. The device will be featuring 16 GB of RAM and it will be powered by Intel Core i7 processor. There may or may not be a new Chromecast, though its only upgrade is Bluetooth. This new Slate tablet by Pixel will go head-on against the new Apple iPad Pro, and it might also possibly come with a fingerprint sensor.
Like the Pixelbook from previous year, the Pixel Slate seems to be equipped with 3:2 aspect ratio display. We are in NY to bring you the latest updates.
