Jimmy Butler has heated practice with Timberwolves

Report: Heat interested in restarting Butler trade talks

Jimmy Butler requested a trade out of Minnesota after growing unhappy with the Timberwolves last month. There have been a flood of rumors on Butler's National Basketball Association future since his initial trade request including contradictory reports coming from within the Minnesota front office.

Proposed changes from Minnesota created a breakdown in earlier trade negotiations just as the teams were close to finalizing a deal. At times, Butler has been working out away from the team at the facility since his trade request three weeks ago. Coaches and players were largely speechless at Butler's tour de force throughout the workout, league sources said.

The Miami Heat and the Timberwolves were rumored to be interested in a deal involving Butler.

The insane thing about the Butler situation is that he may end up suiting up for the Wolves in their season opener, despite the fact that he hasn't been with the team at all for weeks. According to Krawczyinski, Minnesota is "making preparations to start the season with Butler on the roster".

Two PSUs place orders for Iranian crude
Iran has questioned whether the market needs more oil and says its output is holding steady at about 3.8 million bpd. There are concerns a shortfall in Iran's oil production could prompt global oil supply to fall and prices to rise.

Sources told Wojnarowski that Butler was emotional and targeted head coach Tom Thibodeau and general manager Scott Layden, as well as teammates Andrew Wiggins and Karl-Anthony Towns.

The most hilarious part of this entire situation might be that Butler, according to ESPN's Amin Elhassan, took the third stringers and beat the Timberwolves starters during this practice. These probably aren't the actions teams that have interest in him, either via trade or when he's a free agent next summer, want to see.

"Outside of the Heat, the Timberwolves have had no serious, active talks with any other team", ESPN reported in a separate story.

The T-Wolves' first game of the season is on Wednesday when they visit the San Antonio Spurs.
