'I'm a proud Navy vet, Cat Dad and Ally. "#HimToo", Jon Hanson wrote on Twitter. "I love my mom to death, but boy". And especially when they try to get involved in an online anti-feminist movement and inadvertently turn their son into a meme.

"I was dumbfounded when I saw it, but at the end of the day we all have insane parents", Hanson, a student at the University of Central Florida, told BBC.

Hanson's mother tweeted that her son fears going on dates with women, writing "This is MY son".

The hashtag #HimToo was spawned by supporters of Brett Kavanaugh amid the U.S. politician's Supreme Court hearing regarding allegations of sexual assault - a reaction to the #MeToo movement.

His post mimicked his mom's original tweet that's since been deleted. The picture of Hanson in his old Navy uniform, resting one elbow on a bent knee, was accompanied by a caption claiming he was scared to go on "solo dates" because of false sexual assault allegations from "radical feminists".

Eventually, Pieter Hanson created a Twitter account under "That was my mom" and posted a photo of himself in a similar pose.

"I'm not afraid to go on dates!" he joked.

Twitter users were quick to make fun of the tweet, with some, such as @LunaisAmerica, using animals.

"It doesn't represent me at all", Hanson told the Post. He was #1 in Army school.
