Microsoft is today rolling out the October 2018 Update for Xbox One.
Additionally, a new Xbox Skill is coming to Cortana and Alexa for users in the U.S., which will allow players to use their voice to navigate their Xbox One system via Cortana and Alexa-enabled devices. The Xbox Skill expands voice navigation beyond a headset and the (dearly departed) Kinect, allowing you to adjust the volume, start a game, capture screenshots, or power on your console with an Echo (or other smart speaker). Microsoft is adding Dolby Vision support to the Xbox One, so you will be able to stream Dolby Vision HDR content with your Xbox One, as long as your TV actually supports the latest Dolby Vision tech.
Announced over two years ago, Microsoft's new avatars are now available to everyone.

Other additions include the Xbox Skill voice navigation system for U.S. users, Dolby Vision HDR streaming support for Xbox One S and Xbox One X, and new language options for the Xbox Narrator. The Avatar Editor features a wide range of body types, and the entire Avatar closet supports all of them, enabling you to uniquely tailor your Avatar however you see fit. The company is introducing some major new features with the latest major update for the Xbox One system, launching much-awaited features like the next-gen Avatars.
At the moment, Dolby Vision will only work in the Netflix app for Premium subscribers, but in an Xbox Wire post about the October update, Microsoft confirmed other apps will also start supporting Dolby Vision "in the coming months". Then, go to Display and sound Video output Video modes Allow Dolby Vision. While it's not exactly a new language, the firm also added Australian English. Finally, users can also customize each element of their Avatars, including skin, hair, clothes and accessories, with more than 16 million colors available. If you'd like to help create the future of Xbox and get access to early features, download the Xbox Insider Hub app on your Xbox One or Windows 10 PC today. Five additional languages are available through the Narrator on Xbox One.
