This is Disgusting!’ NBC Under Fire After Mocking War Veteran and GOP Candidate Dan Crenshaw NBC 4 Nov 2018

Texas Republican congressional candidate and former Navy SEAL Dan Crenshaw issued a response after "Saturday Night Live" cast member Pete Davidson mocked him for losing an eye while serving in Afghanistan.

"This guy is kind of cool - Dan Crenshaw". After showing an image of Crenshaw wearing his eyepatch, Davidson said, "You may be surprised to hear he's a congressional candidate in Texas and not a hit man in a porno movie".

Crenshaw did provide a suggestion to Davidson and his SNL coworkers for how to help veterans.

After multiple surgeries, Crenshaw regained sight in his remaining eye, and deployed overseas two more times.

The National Republican Congressional Committee (NRCC) responded to the "SNL" segment on Sunday, demanding an apology from Davidson and the network. "That being said, I hope [Saturday Night Live] recognizes that vets don't deserve to see their wounds used as punchlines for bad jokes", Crenshaw tweeted.

He said: "I hope we will agree". "Jesse and Alexis are in a much better position than last week", said Mourinho. It's a great feeling and it's bringing us closer together.

Crenshaw has since been alerted to Davidson's comments, and wrote on Twitter this afternoon that he doesn't appreciate being mocked for his appearance: "Good rule in life: I try hard not to offend; I try harder not to be offended". You know what I mean like Pete's a very humble dude, he's got a big heart I don't think he goes out to offend people. We don't need to be outwardly outraged. I don't need to demand apologies for them.

"I know some of you are curious about the breakup, but the truth is, it's nobody's business, and sometimes things just don't work out and that's okay. That's how stand-ups feel - like, there's no real filters out there in the world when they're trying to go for a great joke, or whatever". During this third tour, in Afghanistan, he was hit by the blast of an IED.

Crenshaw later told TMZ that he didn't necessarily want an apology.

"I$3 t wasn't even amusing. I look like I make vape juice in a bathtub", he said.
