Donald Trump berates Jim Acosta in contentious White House news conference

Donald Trump Rips Into CNN's Jim Acosta: 'You Are A Rude, Terrible Person'

[VIDEO] Donald Trump, CNN's Jim Acosta Argue at Press Conference

"I want to challenge you on one of the statements that you made in the tail end of the campaign in the midterms", Acosta told Trump at a press conference following the midterm elections.

It got hot nearly immediately.

The shocking exchange came as Acosta was asking the president about the migrant caravan.

Trump launched into a riff about Democrats supposedly being weak on crime and illegal immigration, and he took swipes at the accuracy of NBC's coverage when Alexander tried to get him to directly answer his question. That further infuriated the President.

"Okay, just sit down, please", Trump said.

"I tell you what, CNN should be ashamed of themselves having you working for them", he said.

When Acosta started to ask Trump about his comments calling a migrant group marching toward the southern USA border an "invasion", Trump said that's what he still considers it. "The way you treat Sarah Huckabee [Sanders] is frightful".

Vince Gilligan Working on Breaking Bad Movie
Breaking Bad creator Vince Gilligan is at the helm of the project, which could yet be either for TV or a theater release. Production in the Duke City is scheduled to begin mid-November through early February, according to the Journal.

"You shouldn't treat people that way", Trump says. I think you should let me run the country. "You aren't the best". The way you treat Sarah Huckabee is frightful.

Mr. Acosta reluctantly surrendered the microphone to Mr. Alexander, who then offered a defense that his colleague is a "diligent" reporter.

When another reporter shouted a question a few minutes later, Trump asked her to sit down.

"Well, I'm not a big fan of yours either", Trump said, as some people in the audience laughed.

"We did this in spite of a dramatic funding disadvantage driven by Democrats' wealthy donors, special interests, and very hostile media coverage to put it mildly". "It's so sad", Trump said.

Acosta continued to question the President about his rhetoric surrounding a migrant caravan that is travelling on foot to the United States. You and I have a difference of opinion.
