Now the official Twitter handle of Sun Pictures has tweeted that the police arrived at AR Murugadoss' residence to arrest him, but left after enquiring about him since he was not there.

In his petition, Murugadoss said he did not make the movie with an intention to hurt anyone.

He "strongly condemned" the demands for deletion of scenes.

The Madras high court on Friday directed the Tamil Nadu police not to arrest "Sarkar" movie director A R Murugadoss till November 27. "Right now I was told there is no police outside my house". While some are considering the film as one of Vijay's best works, there are a few who think otherwise.

Sarkar, which released on November 7, has scenes that criticise the previous Tamil Nadu government led by the late J Jayalalithaa.

Other changes include muting of name Komala, from full name Komalavalli, which party workers thought was a reference to Jayalalithaa's original name.

While Sarkar is running in theaters and hitting the numbers at the box office, the film fell into quite a couple of troubles with the last being Tamilnadu Minister Kadambur Raju demanding a couple of controversial scenes be removed from screening.

Tamil superstar Rajinikanth has lashed out at the ruling AIADMK for staging protests. "To protest for the removal of certain scenes from the movie after the Censor Board issued certification, and destroying banners are against the law".
