Nets' LeVert sustains apparent severe right leg injury

Nets' Caris LeVert suffers devastating leg injury

Team orthopedist Martin O'Malley determined LeVert incurred only "moderate" ligament damage in the second quarter of Monday's game against the Timberwolves.

Brooklyn Nets guard Caris LeVert left Monday's game against the Minnesota Timberwolves with what appeared to be a severe right leg injury with 3.7 seconds left in the first half.

The pain of every injury worsens when it comes at the most unfortunate time. He was taken off the court on a stretcher.

O'Malley said LeVert will begin an unspecified period of rehabilitation and is "expected to return to full strength and resume all basketball activities without any limitations this season".

The pilot of Virgin Airlines flight VS76 from Orlando to Manchester then reported seeing a similar thing, the website reports. When the air traffic controller replied in the negative, the pilot said that she had seen something moving "so fast".

Caris LeVert and the Nets got some much-needed good news Tuesday, when the emerging guard was diagnosed with just a dislocated right foot. He's also averaging 4.3 rebounds and 3.7 assists. There was nothing to be said.

It was one of those injuries that is so devastating and tough to watch (think Gordon Hayward and Paul George) that players across the league immediately took to social media to offer their support for LeVert, who had been having a breakout year.

Hopefully LeVert comes back even better next season for the Nets. Guys were crying. It was really that horrific just to see.
