Michelle Obama and Meghan, Duchess of Sussex met in London during a stop on the former USA first lady's book tour for her new memoir Becoming, according to reports in the Evening Standard and Harper's Bazaar.

It wasn't announced before, but the Duchess of Sussex made a trip to Kings College London to further learn about the effect of higher education.

Guests described the event as "one of the best" as they left afterwards, citing Meghan's reading and a speech from Harry among the highlights.

Kate was spotted wearing the sleek ensemble as she arrived in Cyprus alongside Prince William to Christmas presents to overseas airmen at Akrotiri RAF base.

"The journey of higher education is an incredible, impactful, and pivotal one", she said.

Meghan wore the Cocoon Coat in Myth, a very pale blush pink colour.

Meghan's bump went viral as she and Harry stepped out on Tuesday evening.

Trump keeps up pressure on Democrats over border wall
Previously, Trump threatened to force a partial government shutdown if Congress did not give him the money he wants for the wall. Trump claimed in a tweet that "We would save Billions of Dollars if the Democrats would give us the votes to build the Wall".

Meghan's attendance at the meeting of The Association of Commonwealth Universities (ACU) was not publicised ahead of time.

During the event, Kate told the invited wives, partners, grandparents and children: "Not only are we grateful for you coming here to join our party, but also for the sacrifices you make on a daily basis on behalf of the nation".

Her tweet was shared alongside a photo of Meghan, sitting at the head of a table and looking engaged as another attendee spoke.

The event follows her speech to students at the University of the South Pacific in Fiji in October.

The event was set up "as an opportunity to discuss the role of universities in addressing human trafficking and modern slavery, gender equality and inclusion, peace and reconciliation, and climate change and resilience", many which are passions of the Duchess.

"As a university graduate, I know the personal feeling of pride and excitement that comes with attending university".
