Captain Marvel hits theaters on March 8th, 2019. She's one of the most beloved superheroes of recent years, and very soon will be the star of the first female-led film in the MCU. Based on what we see, she's unaware of the fact that she's actually human, and piecing that together will apparently be part of her arc during the movie. He sums up the film's plot in the trailer's opening frame as Captain Marvel batters an old woman on a train. But, while Avengers 4 is shrouded in what is most likely the most secrecy in cinematic history, Marvel Studios aren't letting much slip on the Captain Marvel front, either.
"So, Skrulls are the bad guys?" a young Nick Fury (Samuel L. Jackson, with the help of some impressive CGI) asks Danvers in the clip. During the explosion, Danvers's DNA is combined with that of Mar-Vell, a Kree hero who was also present. And in it, we see Larson's Carol Danvers' doling out the fisticuffs.
Also in the movie are Djimon Hounsou as Korath and Lee Pace as Ronan the Accuser, with both previously appearing in Guardians of the Galaxy. Captain Marvel herself will be played by Academy Award victor for Best Actress Bree Larson. The second trailer is expected to showcase further what she can do and how she fights. "If anyone tells you different don't trust them". And she's got a formidable enemy in the form of the Skrulls - the notorious Marvel baddies made all the more unsafe by their shape-shifting abilities.
