Santiago Solari declared himself pleased with Isco after he was restored to the Real Madrid starting line-up and produced a fine double in their 6-1 Copa del Rey win over Melilla.

The two sides meet again at the Bernabeu Stadium on Thursday and Solari has since been appointed as Julen Lopetegui's permanent replacement.

The Argentine coach pointed out that there are 24 players on the first team, plus the players of the Castilla squad, stressing that they all "are working with intensity, enthusiasm and they're excited".

"This game let us see many players who are well and committed", Solari added.

Los Blancos have won their last three games across three separate competitions, and will fancy their chances of overcoming a Huesca side that has won just one of their 14 La Liga matches this season to prop up the table.

At time of writing, Real are four goals to the good (8-0 on aggregate) against their tiny Segunda Division B opponents with an hour or so played.

Solari was giving little away in terms of team selection, but Castilla players Javi Sanchez, Fidalgo and Cristo have been included in his squad.

The pair are likely to start alongside Ballon d'Or victor Luka Modric in the midfield trio on Sunday. "The focus has to be on him".

As such, Solari was very careful with Llorente and took him off at half time against Melilla, not because he doesn't trust him but because he wanted to keep him fit. It seems to me that at that age it's more attractive because he can truly value it. "We're all very happy with his prize".
