Packers offer head coaching job to Titans OC Matt LaFleur



It was a humiliating loss and ended the head coaching career of Mike McCarthy in Green Bay, as he was sacked later that same night.

The Packers have reportedly found their next head coach.

Quarterback Aaron Rodgers, 35, will work with former Titans offensive coordinator Matt LaFleur, 39.

According to Rob Demovsky of ESPN, LaFleur is expected to keep defensive coordinator Mike Pettine and will consider keeping interim coach Joe Philbin on the staff. The 39-year-old also has experience as a quarterbacks coach in the National Football League with the Atlanta Falcons and Washington. So it looks like LaFleur in Green Bay. He will replace Mike McCarthy, who coached the Packers for 13 seasons before being fired in early December.

He worked with Atlanta Falcons quarterback Matt Ryan during his MVP year, and was with Sean McVay in 2017 when Rams quarterback Jared Goff had his breakout year. He will be the 11th coach in Packers history.
