Kevin Durant not among Western Conference starters in fan voting for NBA All-Star Game

Westbrook remains in fourth place among Western Conference guards, but has expanded his lead on Golden State's Klay Thompson from just more than 200,000 votes to more than 700,000.

Giannis Antetokounmpo, a forward for the Milwaukee Bucks, leads all Eastern Conference players with 2,670,816 votes, second to only James overall in the National Basketball Association.

The Los Angeles Lakers remain on track to have their first All-Star since 2016 as LeBron James has garnered 2,779,812 votes to maintain his standing as the leading vote-getter in the second fan returns. LeBron still leads all vote-getters with almost 2.8 million votes, while the Greek Freak leads the Eastern Conference with 2.67 million, slightly ahead of Kyrie Irving.

Milwaukee Bucks forward Giannis Antetokounmpo is the leader in the Eastern Conference with 2,670,816 votes.

The fan vote, which opened on Christmas Day, accounts for 50% of the vote to determine the 10 All-Star starters.

Voting for fans, players and media will conclude on Monday, Jan. 21 at 11:59 p.m. ET.

Fabregas excited for Monaco challenge
After joining his new club side, Fabregas described the move as " a new project ", calling it a " great honour ". Monaco have agreed a deal with Chelsea to bring Spain midfielder Cesc Fabregas to Ligue 1.

The teams aren't split by conference for the actual game, though.

The two team captains will draft rosters from the players voted as starters and reserves, picking players regardless of conference affiliation.

If the NBA All-Star game were to play this weekend, then last year's regular-season MVP and a back-to-back Finals MVP wouldn't even crack the starting lineups.

Boston Celtics' Kyrie Irving leads all East guards. A third report on all-star balloting will come out on January 17 before the final votes are then revealed for the 10 starters on January 24.

The All-Star weekend returns to Charlotte for the second time in the city's 30-year history in the league.
