A mysterious Instagram account with a picture of an egg has revealed the reason behind it.
It all started with the photo of a chicken's egg, posted to Instagram account world_record_egg on January 4, 2019. Broadcast on streaming service Hulu, the ad shows the egg cracking under the pressure of social media fame in an advert for Mental Health America, a non-profit organization based in Virginia "dedicated to addressing the needs of those living with mental illness", according to its website.
This development comes after an announcement on Friday that the egg had partnered with Hulu and would reveal more during the Super Bowl on Sunday. (You may have heard of me.) Recently I've started to crack.
It's followed by the words "If you're struggling, talk to someone". Given the large number of children exposed to social media, it's refreshing that the group elected to promote a positive message.
TMZ: ‘Young and the Restless’ star Kristoff St. John found dead
Our thoughts are with Kristoff's loved ones during this time. "Right now what he needs is your thoughts and prayers". Actor Kristoff St John, best known for his role on the long-running soap opera The Young and The Restless , has died.
In an advert broadcast on U.S. streaming platform Hulu, the egg was framed as an emblem for those struggling with mental health battles.
Most on social media applauded the wholesome video and the campaign to spread mental health awareness. "Beating the current world record held by Kylie Jenner (18 million)!" Highly recommend watching it. Props to Hulu and this egg.
When they saw that a picture uploaded by Kylie Jenner that had been liked nearly 19 millions times held the world record, they hatched a cunning plan to usurp her. I can't wait to see what it does next.
