Border officer shoots driver; Arizona port of entry reopens

City in Arizona approves resolution for removal of 'irresponsible' and 'inhumane' razor wire at border wall

CBP agent shoots driver attempting to run over agent at US-Mexico border: reports

"This was truly an outstanding interception of hard narcotics that our CBP officers (affected) yesterday at the cargo facility", Port Director David Gonzalez, Hidalgo/Pharr/Anzalduas Port of Entry, said in a written statement.

CBP officers assigned to the Office of Field Operations (OFO) at the Pharr International Bridge came upon a tractor-trailer hauling a commercial shipment of fresh produce consisting of fresh bell peppers crossing into the USA from Mexico.

The resolution called the razor wire "not only irresponsible, but inhumane" and argues that this type of wall "is only found in a war, prison or battle setting".

The CBP response came quickly after the Nogales City Council passed a resolution condemning the use of new razor wire that now covers the entirety of a tall border wall through downtown.

The small border town of Nogales, Arizona has issues with President Donald Trump's move to secure the border by installing contra wire along the wall.

He also traded away dependable scorer Jordan Eberle for what ultimately became Ryan Spooner , who was put on waivers this week. Nicholson said the decision to extend Koskinen's contract was made by the leadership group as a whole, not just by Chiarelli.

The release explained that the CBP officer was on duty at the port of entry and attempted to stop a vehicle leaving the United States.

Migrants told authorities that buses and trucks dropped them off throughout the night on a nearby Mexican highway that runs parallel to the border and they entered the US together to wait for agents to find them.

The city sits on the border with Nogales, Mexico, and is contemplating a proclamation Wednesday night condemning the use of concertina wire. Entry to the USA was not affected.

Nogales, a city of about 20,000 people, is largely reliant on Mexican shoppers and cross-border trade.
