While that might be good news for her fans, supporters of Mac Miller weren't happy, including his ex-girlfriend Ariana Grande.

While Cardi B, Travis Scott, Pusha T and Nipsey Hussle all had incredible albums previous year, people thought the late Mac Miller might take home the gong for his fifth studio album Swimming, which was also nominated for the category.

When Cardi won for Best Rap Album, Ari took to Twitter and tweeted the word "trash".

The superstar went back on Twitter to later clarify her tweets after one social media user accused her of "shading" Cardi B.

She also tweeted "f**k" right before her "trash" comment and followed with a third tweet saying "literal bulls**t". While it remains unclear if the Thank You... "Rest in peace!" she said in a video posted to Instagram.

After performing with Bruno Mars at last year's show, the Bronx rapper returned to deliver her own show-stopping set at Sunday's show.

Women top Grammys noms
Tori Kelly, who debuted on the music scene as a pop singer, won two awards for her first gospel album. The Scorpion rapper also reportedly turned down the opportunity to perform at the Grammys this year.

She took to Twitter after the news was announced and described her win as "wild and handsome".

But nothing could compare to the raw emotion she showed in her acceptance speech.

Many fans noticed Grande's reaction before she deleted the tweets and most assumed that her harsh words were directed towards Miller's loss, rather than Cardi's win. "Maybe I need to start smoking weed!"

Wearing her dark locks straight down onto her bare shoulders, she took to the stage with husband, rapper Offset.

It has ben a whirlwind year for the rapper who released her debut album in April last year.
