Cook County Sheriff's Office Spokeswoman Sophia Ansari told AP that Kelly will remain locked up until he pays over $160,000 in back child support.
Kelly now faces ten counts of aggravated criminal sexual abuse; he was released on bail, but was re-arrested, this time for failing to pay the $161,000 he allegedly owes in child support. Kelly shouted and cried about his financial situation and his relationship with his three children.
Kelly said during his visit he told the bank teller to move his money in a new account he created.
After Wednesday's child support hearing, Kelly's publicist, Darryll Johnson, confirmed what has been widely reported in recent months: Kelly's concert dates are drying up.
Kelly denied to King that he was trying to serve as a mentor for Savage, saying her mother wanted him to produce her daughter, but he quickly determined she wasn't talented.
Savage called her family after the press conference, telling them, "I have told you guys a million, million times that I am OK where I am and I'm happy".
The charges relate to four victims, with three of them being under age.
"You can start a rumor on a guy like me or a celebrity, just like that", Kelly told CBS News" Gayle King.
"First of all, I'm not here to talk about my personal life", Clary said.
Savage's parents spoke out again Wednesday, calling Kelly's explosive interview "disturbing."

Kelly spent three days in jail last month after being arrested on 10 counts of aggravated criminal sexual abuse involving four victims - three of whom were minors - on February 22. How can I take care of my kids?
Viewers saw just how physical Kelly got, but King says that she didn't think that he'd actually hit her. He also accused their parents, who have publicly expressed concern over their safety with Kelly, of being in it for the money. Joycelyn Savage and Azriel Clary described their relationship with him, defending the 52-year-old, despite their family's outspoken disapproval and fear for their safety.
Colbert compared Kelly to Supreme Court Justice Brett Kavanaugh, who also became irate and emotional when faced with accusations of sexual assault: "Wow".
"I have been assassinated", Kelly said. She went on to say that Kelly would "cough, very loudly" during the interview and that that the women were "certainly aware that he was there".
"I don't believe that prison will help or "fix" Robert's actual problems".
"After getting that information we reached out to the victim in this case and she referred us over to her attorney", Craig said.
King noted that when somebody says your name, it's "soothing".
"They said because if they ever have to blackmail him, what they're trying to do now, they can use it against him, which is exactly what they're doing", Clary said, adding that her father is "a manipulative liar". The lawyer representing Joycelyn Savage's family issued a statement in response to allegations that they've received any sort of money from R. Kelly. We have never asked R. Kelly for money. Kelly's team only had two stipulations, King said.
"So when I met him, he thought that I was 18", Clary said.
