George Foreman Shares Emotional Tribute To Daughter After Her Death

Freeda Foreman, Daughter of George Foreman, Dies at 42

George Foreman confirmed her death on Twitter on Sunday night, posting a picture of them at her college graduation.

Freeda George Foreman, daughter of former two-time heavyweight world champion George Foreman, and a former professional boxer in her own right, died Saturday.

"The entire WBC joins the family of Freeda and her many friends in these sad moments", WBC president Mauricio Sulaiman said in a statement.

Following in her father's footsteps, Freeda also boxed professionally- starting in 2000 and retiring the next year. Cops are awaiting a report from the coroner's office on the cause of death, but we're told no foul play is suspected. She retired after the loss with a pro record of 5-1 with 3 KOs to focus on being a mother and other projects, including boxing promotion.

As TMZ reports, her father George reportedly paid her to quit boxing.

Our thoughts and prayers are with the Foreman family during this time.

Foreman also has five sons, all named George, and reportedly his daughters also carry the boxing legend's name either as a middle name, as Freeda did, or as part of their first name.

Freeda is survived by her husband, two daughters, three grandchildren, her parents and 11 siblings.
