Former Wisconsin Quarterback Alex Hornibrook Announces Transfer to Florida State

Despite the differences in culture, former Badgers quarterback Alex Hornibrook is taking his talents to Tallahassee.

The Seminoles will face No. 14 Florida (12-5) on Tuesday night in Gainesville, where Florida State hasn't won since 2016.

Since the tumultuous departure of Deondre Francois, FSU has been desperately pursuing help at the quarterback position. Hornibrook threw 33 interceptions and has a career completion percentage of 60.5 in three seasons in Madison; he will instantly become the most accomplished player in the quarterback room.

Hornibrook was 26-6 as the Badgers' starter.

But considering it's only done after all other fixes have failed, recovering from one may still be a very time-consuming process. It will also delay reinstalling the updates for 30 days to give Microsoft time to diagnose the issues before trying again.

Hornibrook, who has one year of eligibility remaining, started the past three seasons for Wisconsin. In 2017, he took the reins full-time and threw for 2,644 yards, 25 touchdowns and 15 interceptions, including an awesome performance - 258 yards and four touchdowns - in Wisconsin's Orange Bowl victory over Miami.

Francois, who was dismissed from the program last month, was Florida State's starting quarterback in 2016 and 2018.

He followed that season up with 13 touchdowns and 11 interceptions in 2018 and was replaced by Jack Coan as Hornibrook dealt with injuries.

Congratulations to our beloved head coach, Mike Martin. Jordan Travis transferred in from Louisville but is waiting to hear whether he will get a waiver for immediate eligibility.
